Eligibility and Information

To be eligible for the Scout Aerospace Virtual Summer Internship a student needs to be:

  • An undergraduate in their 3rd or 4th academic year;

  • studying physical or engineering sciences such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, chemistry,  computer sciences, or similar field;

  • enrolled in an accredited 4-year program of study at a research, comprehensive, or state university in the United States of America;

Projects students may expect to find themselves contributing to include:

  • Design and development of a green monopropellant based thrust assembly for small satellites;

  • Development and marketing of next generation small satellite flight computers;

  • Development and marketing of low mass radiation protection materials. 

  • Modular payload integration for on-orbit servicing.

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
